There I was, sitting alone by a lake, just one month away from playing Chopin’s E minor Piano Concerto with orchestra—staring into the water, searching for a way out.
I had dreamed of playing this piece for years, yet instead of excitement, I felt crushing dread. My memory was unreliable, technical mistakes plagued every page, and I still remember my teacher stopping me mid-phrase—quite heated—saying, “Damn it, Aaron, this is the sixth lesson I’ve asked you for the same thing, and you still don’t have control over this passage!” I nodded, but inside I felt like crumbling. Nothing was working.
I was beyond burnt out. I was done.
Every passing day weighed on me like an anchor. I had no way of knowing if I’d be ready in time, no method to fix the inconsistency. I practiced for hours but wasn't improving. Despite all my effort, my playing had plateaued—I couldn’t trust myself to pull through.
This wasn’t the first time I felt like this either.
I had already canceled my application to the 2015 Chopin Competition because I wasn’t prepared. I left my studies at the Colburn School in LA because the pressure was too much. And now, I was starting down the same road again, thinking about quitting piano for good.
I knew something was wrong with how I practiced. But I had no idea what to do differently.
It wasn’t like I wasn’t putting in the time. I practiced six to eight hours a day! I believed I had the potential to be great. But while I was struggling, my peers were making rapid progress—learning pieces faster, playing cleaner, and developing powerful technique. I wanted all of that… but it felt out of reach.
Then, everything changed.
I had recently started studying with Mark Westcott—an international concert pianist who had learned from and worked alongside legends like Vladimir Ashkenazy, Samuel Barber, Van Cliburn, Leonard Bernstein, Rudolf Serkin, John Perry, Martha Argerich, Sviatoslav Richter, and Leon Fleisher.

At the time, I didn’t fully understand who I was learning from… or that he was about to transform everything I knew about playing the piano.
I walked into my lesson, ready to quit from loss of motivation. I expected a lecture. Instead, Mark leaned forward and said something I’ll never forget:
“Your problem isn’t talent. It’s how you practice.”
In the days, weeks, and months that followed, Mark rebuilt my entire approach to piano—my learning habits, technique, artistry, and even my mindset. He gave me the exact methods to train for reliable progress every day, and before I knew it, things started to click.
Less than two years later, I had my proof.
I performed my own transcription of Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring for solo piano—six times, all from memory! Just seven years after starting piano, I accomplished something I once thought was impossible at any stage of my journey, let alone before I turned 20!
At first, I even scoffed when Mark suggested I learn and arrange it.
But unlike before, I now had a system that worked.
For the first time, others could see my transformation too.
(Comments taken from my Beethoven Op. 2 No. 2 and Stravinsky's Rite of Spring - recorded in the same year.)

This was a far cry from what people had said about my playing from just two years earlier…

Ouch!
What changed? How did I go from barely holding my technique together to playing Pyrotechnical Etudes, performing Rite of Spring, and winning my first international piano competition—all within two years?
It all came down to Mark’s fundamental system for piano mastery.
It wasn’t just about practicing more. It was about practicing differently.
Mark had spent his career developing the most efficient and reliable methods for building technique, control, and artistry—the things only a handful of elite musicians truly understand.
And he passed all of it on to me.
The world’s top music critics called Mark “a pianist with absolutely nothing to fault”. His technique was flawless. His artistry, profound. But what made him so special as a teacher was his ability to transfer that mastery to others.
But despite his brilliance, his life’s work almost died with him.
Nine years later, Mark passed away on Good Friday, 2024.
The night before, he could barely speak. But when I told him I had begun teaching his system online to preserve his legacy, he mustered the strength to say:
“Don’t forget to teach everyone my twelve fundamentals system! That is what will help them achieve greatness.”
That was almost his dying breath.
I’ve never shared this story publicly before—because there was no reason to.
Until now.
I reached a level where I could have been a full-time concert pianist… But I couldn’t ignore the fact that I had a second calling.
If I truly was the only person who had fully absorbed Mark’s system, then I had a choice to make:
1. Keep it all to myself and let Mark’s legacy end with me.
2. Or start sharing these strategies with pianists who need them.
As a Christ follower, the choice was clear based on Jesus’s unforgettable words. “It is better to give than to receive.”
So here I am—ready to pass on what Mark gave to me.
Because if you've ever felt stuck, burnt out, or unsure of how to improve, I know exactly what that’s like.
But I also know the way forward.
And if you’re ready, I’d love to show you.

It’s not just another online course—it’s a full mentorship experience that combines structured learning with personalized feedback, live training, and a supportive international pianist community.
For centuries, piano mastery was passed down through direct mentorship, not pre-recorded lectures. As someone who has taught over 130 in-person students for more than a decade and trained with world-class concert pianists, I’ve built this club to preserve that tradition in a way that fits today’s digital world.
Unlike most online platforms that give you a library of overwhelming content and leave you to figure it out alone…
I guide you step by step, helping you focus on exactly what you need to improve right now—so you don’t waste time guessing or developing bad habits.
I am personally active in the club several times per week, answering your questions, keeping you accountable, and ensuring you never feel lost or alone in your learning journey.
Here’s how I personally support you beyond the live weekly classes:
✅ Personalized technique feedback & structured practice plans – No more random online videos. Get clear, actionable steps tailored to your goals.
✅ Direct mentorship & community discussions – Ask me questions anytime and get expert feedback on your playing.
✅ YouTube Tutorial Dedicated to You (Topic of your choice) - get your questions answered along with a shout out in the music world through my channel.
✅ Private DM support & personalized welcome – You’re not just another username. I check in with members personally to ensure progress.
✅ Supplementary Video Q&A – If a concept isn’t clicking, I’ll record a video just for the group, breaking it down further.
✅ Curated listening & inspiration – I share my favorite recordings to expand your artistic vision and deepen your connection to music.
This is as close as you can get to studying one-on-one with a mentor—without the high cost of private lessons.

Advice for you and specific practice routines to try out. (Solving trills in this case)
I recognize that teaching isn’t just about sharing what worked for me—it’s about understanding each student’s unique needs and refining my methods to create real, lasting transformations.
Over the past five years of full-time teaching, I’ve continuously improved my approach to ensure that students don’t just learn—they progress with confidence and clarity.
And the best part? My methods adapt to anyone eager to learn, no matter their background, learning style, or schedule. You name it, I’ve worked with it.
By now, you are probably thinking, "This can't be real. How can he offer all of this? It's probably a scam... or ridiculously expensive!"
Good news - it's neither!
But don't just take my word for it!
Consider what this group has already allowed others--mostly adult amateurs practicing only 30–60 minutes a day--to achieve:
Olivier - who had no private teacher and very little idea of who I was, went out on a limb to join and wrote this soon after:

Or Ryan - a busy husband and dad with limited practice time.
Even though he already valued my free Instagram videos for over 6 months,
this was his comment on the first live training he watched in the club:

Raquel - whose enthusiasm about finding this group at just the right time, speaks for itself!

Joe - who found me on YouTube and joined Key Learners only a week after its first launch last July!
I didn't even know what it was going to offer yet, but he wanted more training than just my videos had to say...
I think it's safe to say he got that plus a lot more!

Rebecca - who has overcame some technical problems and is finding her artistic voice despite people telling her for years that she has no talent or chance to do anything with music. (Language I won't allow in my group!)

Rosie - who had several apprehensions about trying the group saying "I am puzzled by how people could make progress there without having one on one lessons". She proceeded to write this after just one class.

A few things are clear from their stories:
- Your practice habits, technical skill, artistry, and motivation
will all improve from becoming an active member.
- You don't need to have a lot of time in the group
to see a huge difference in your playing
- My free content is only an appetizer
compared to what the club offers.
- The learning ceiling is almost limitless
(especially since I add more to the group every week)
But I am sure you are still wondering what you will
actually be getting that makes all this possible!
First of all, I find it important for you to learn the most efficient practice habits and strategies to save time and see 3-4x more consistent results from each session.
I truly believe this is achievable, having first tested all of these strategies in my own practice, then with my own students for the last several years. So after writing down everything I learned from 4 different teachers on a word document for 11 years, I finally crafted a 3 hour video course to teach you every practice trick and routine I ever learned.
In the course, I not only show you what to do, but also do it in front of the camera - providing examples of myself working through passages using the principles I discuss, and explaining along the way as I go.
In this way, you can model a real example
rather than being confused as to how to apply it,
saving your time and getting your actionable results
The goal of this Practice Habits Course is to get you to:
- Avoid Burn out when it hits
- Work past the last 10% that never seems to get finished
- Enjoy your practice time more:
Go from everything feeling like a dry, repetitive task,
to a creative game that brings consistent results.
- Learn your pieces in just 30% of the time it normally takes you.
Just imagine learning 2 entire Beethoven sonatas this year instead of being stuck on only a couple movements of one sonata. Compound that for the rest of your life and it's the difference of playing entire recitals with confidence vs. barely getting by and never truly finishing a piece!
You can be sure that this course will cover all your questions about practice and give you a reliable structure like never before. Here's what David said when I taught him these principles through 1 on 1 lessons...

And Luke, who carefully writes down every practice principle I teach, every time his daughter has a lesson. (After only a few months with me, she went from playing Bach's Invention No. 8 to Scriabin's Prelude for the left hand alone!)

If these tricks worked to increase the productivity of an
amateur adult with limited time and
a 10-year-old with little experience...
I know they can help you!
The Efficient Practice course is over 3 hours long and has everything
you need to get 3-4x more consistent results from each session.
And that's only one small part of this club...

through private lessons or high-level courses
Also consider the time you could save
since the 6k value of this group
doesn't even account for my experience of...

-
3 music camps (2 of them, amongst country's finest!)
-
4 music pre-colleges

A Bachelor's degree in Piano Performance

-
$260,000 tuition for a 4-year piano performance degree from the University of Miami.
...to learn all I know!
NO WONDER so many prodigies opt out from going pro
and so many adults just quit entirely after a couple years!
(If they even make it that far).
So if all this group did was save you time
by giving you the short cuts to:
- Avoid burnout, frustration by progressing quickly
- End all the pain and tension in your hands by polishing your technique
- Help do you express music the way you want,
bringing you artistic fulfillment...
And you knew that 15 years of learning + $300k could be reduced to just 3 or 4 years of study and a one time payment of $6,182...
Would it be worth it to pay that for a Lifetime Membership?
🤔
Well the thing is,
I have something a lot better for you...
👉 As of right now, you can get club membership today for JUST $97/Month
(That's not even enough to cover one lesson
with the teachers I studied from!)
Don't miss your chance to continue in the legendary legacy that was passed on to me - As there are only a few people who have been handed the tradition at this level and practiced it enough to recreate it themselves, through teaching.
Even less, who make this training available at this price.
⏳ Only 10 days left before the price increases! ⏳
🚨 Upcoming Rate: $300/mo. 🚨
On Thursday, May 1st the price will triple because the club recently got multiple upgrades as well as a 3rd weekly classes designed to give you hands on feedback for your playing.
For April ONLY, you can lock in the $97/ month rate for life, but get the full value of the $300 / month offer.
Once it's gone, it's gone.
Save $2,436 per month right now.
This group will accomplish all I have said above, plus more.
I love to under promise and over deliver. So there are many bonuses to being a member that I haven't even told you about yet. (Only insiders find out what those are.)
I can promise, I will take care of your complete piano training!
And even though I have paid several people double or triple that, for just 1 hour of their time in a single private lesson, I understand buying something from someone online can be risky - even scary!
Maybe you are wondering if perhaps you are the ONE person who won't benefit from this opportunity and you are hesitant this is really for you.
I get it!
I want to feel confident from the very beginning. So if after 1 month in the club, you feel that you haven't grown as a pianist in the ways I have promised, I will refund you the $97 and cancel your monthly subscription.
On top of that, I will PAY YOU an additional $97 out of my own pocket just as a thank you for the time you invested!
This is because I don't want you to invest in me any more than I am willing to invest in you.
Since starting the group, there has only been 1 time this happened, and it was due to a language barrier - not because of poor teaching or lack of support. (Too bad I never learned Italian)

PS: If you prefer to pay a lot more money (on lessons) and spend a lot more time struggling with your inconsistent learning habits, sluggish technique, and stagnate musical expression, this offer is not for you and you should click off right now.
But if you do want to take over a decade of my life, cut it down to only the best advice, and pay just $97 for what cost me over $100,000, so that you can achieve everything I told you plus more - with guaranteed results or you make money - then click the yellow button above.👆
