There I was... sitting alone by a lake 1 month before I was set to play Chopin's E minor piano concerto with orchestra. Staring into the water hopelessly looking for a way out.

A moment I will never forget!

I wanted to play this piece for years leading up to that moment. Yet now that it was so close, I wanted to cancel the concert. I had memory slips left and right. Technical problems every page or two. My teacher asked me for the same expressive details 6 lesson in a row and everything was in shambles.

I was beyond burnt out. I was DONE. The self doubt I would be able to pull through just 29 days later, weighed me down, daily.

I didn't have a reliable way of overcoming these problems. I couldn't trust myself to actually get better and meet the standard of the conductor and orchestra. Day after day of putting in hours of practice, things just leveled out and I didn't feel I was progressing at all.

I had already canceled my application to the 2015 Chopin Competition due to lack of preparation and I had left my studies at the Colburn School in LA because it was just too much to handle.

I knew something was wrong about my practice, but I didn't understand what. I felt I had great potential. And I certainly put in enough time. (6-8 hours per day!) Yet colleagues of mine seemed to be getting faster results - learning pieces quicker, having less mistakes, developing stronger technique, and more control of their sound and artistry. I wanted all of those things and felt like I would never achieve it.

This was only 1 of 6 times I nearly quit playing the piano. But this time was different. This time... I had recently switched to a teacher named Mark Westcott who had an international performance career and learned from or rubbed shoulders with

Vladimir Ashkenazy, Martha Argerich, Leonard Bernstein, Sviatoslav Richter, Samuel Barber, Busoni's student (Cecil Genhart), Van Cliburn, Sir George Solti, Rudolf Serkin, Leon Fleisher, John Perry, and Aaron Copland - just to name a few. I didn't understand who I was working with at the time. Or what he had to offer in regards to fixing these habits for good. But it didn't take too long to figure out.

I went into my next lesson with my tail between my legs, telling Mark I had lost my motivation. Surprisingly, I don't remember what he said to me that day. But I do remember the things he taught me in the upcoming days, weeks, and months which ultimately lead to a lot more than just a successful performance of the Chopin Concerto

In fact, he spent several years pouring into my Learning Habits, Technique, Artistry, and even personal life, to help shape me into who he said would be "A titanic artist in the piano industry - in the league of Gilels and Serkin". And it was less than 2 years later that all he taught me finally clicked in a way that felt like I had reliable success every day, pushing toward that reality.

The proof came when I performed my own transcription of Stravinsky's Rite of Spring for solo piano 6 times by memory! A feat I didn't think was ever possible for me, especially only 7 years into piano lessons. (I even scoffed when he first suggested I learn / arrange it!)

Unlike prior to Mark's influence on me, many others saw this leap happen as well...

(Comments taken from my recordings of

Beethoven Sonata Op. 2 No. 2 and Stravinsky's Rite of Spring

- both in the same year after my transformation)

These were NOT the kind of comments I was getting from my performances 2 years before that...

Ouch!

What had changed from 17 year old me to19 year old me? How did I go from nearly canceling a performance due to burn out and limited skill, to performing Stravinsky's Rite of Spring and winning my first international piano competition only a couple years later!?

Frankly, it was Mark Westcott's ability to teach me the Practice Habits and Routines that only a handful of professionals know - combined with his complete technical mastery, and topped off with his uncanny ability to encourage artistry by getting his students to learn and develop all the fundamentals of music.

Top music critics hailed him as "A pianist with absolutely nothing to fault - one didn't know whether to be more wowed by his technical prowess or moved by his artistic fervor".

No wonder his teaching was so infectious!

But here we are 9 years later. Mark has passed on to the next life. And he told me not long before he died that no one in his entire career had ever gotten the full value of what he had to offer to the world... except me.

I spoke with him the evening before his passing. He was hardly able to get 5 words out. But I told him a final "thank you" for all he gave me and that I had started to put his ideas into online video lessons to continue his legacy. He was edified to hear this and said, "Don't forget to teach everyone my fundamentals system! That is what will help them to achieve greatness."

That was almost literally his dying breath as he was gone soon after. I have never told this story publicly because there has never really been a reason to until now.

But that changed since he passed on Good Friday 2024.

I reached a level where I could have been a full-time performer... But I can't ignore the fact that I also have a natural gift for teaching. If I truly was even close to the person that received Mark's instruction with the depth he claimed, then I had a choice to make:

- Be selfish and let that entire musical legacy be limited to just me and my career?

- Or let go of some of those opportunities and begin to share these unique strategies with others?

Given my Christian faith and commitment to live Biblically to the best of my ability, I take Jesus's words and example quite seriously! "It is better to give, than to receive."

While teaching is never what I wanted to do full time, I did find that working with nearly 70 in person students between 2020 and 2025 has been one of the most amazing things I could have ever done with my career. It's given me a chance to make piano education better and easier than ever due to the torch I was given to bear. And how much more can I make an impact online! Which is why you are still reading this. ;)

I started the Key Learners Piano Club as a way of helping pianists like younger me, (serious about study, but lacking the reel tools to foster that passion) to explore their artistic nature by practicing more efficiently and learning proper technique which allows them to play as they feel without getting in the way or causing pain.

And what makes this opportunity so powerful is that I didn't just make an online course and leave you to watch it on your own. While that would still benefit you, there is no human interaction, chance to ask questions, or opportunity to get to know your teacher in any way.

Unlike Tonebase which brings in a guest once or twice that you will likely not talk to or ever see again...
I am personally active in the club several times per week so you won't get neglected or be left to figure things out on your own.

This is because I see music as a mentor-pupil role. Until the rise of the internet, our art form was handed down generation to generation through personal training and fostering. And just like Mark personally invested in me, I structure the club in a way I can invest in you, through weekly like calls and a community / social aspect on top of the videos, courses, and trainings that you can go through on your own.

Some examples of how I support others even outside the weekly live classes, are shown in the photo gallery below.

Mark gave me all the tools I needed to be a pro player. Teaching for 5 years gave me hands on experience in communicating these ideas to learns of all backgrounds. (Primarily adult amateurs that struggle to find purpose in music since it's only a side hobby). But I have worked with a handful of super-talent teens and pre teens as well. Through brainstorming to solve their problems, I was able to work out the kinks of things even I didn't fully understand.

This process lead to me developing a reliable practice system I now use to enjoy my playing more than ever and improve consistently every session. This is the same system that I used to win my first international piano competition, get a full ride scholarship to 2 top music universities, and learn Ligeti's Etude 10 in only a few weeks (a work I initially deemed "impossible").

Given the number of people I have helped to transform in the last few years, I am confident that this system works not just for me, but for anyone who is eager to learn!

Here are just a few of the things that my students have said after just a little time with me...

(BTW, these are all adult amateurs who only practice 30-60 mins a day, 4-5 days a week!)

Sounds amazing right!?

But I know what you are thinking...
"Nice claims but that's too good to be true. Anyone can talk well of themselves."

So don't just take my word for it!

Consider what this group has already done for others:

Olivier - an adult amateur who had no private teacher and very little idea of who I was, risked joining and wrote this soon after:

Olivier.png

Or Ryan - a busy husband and dad with limited practice time. Even though he already knew and valued my free Instagram videos for over 6 months, this was his comment upon the first live training he watched in the club.

Joe, who found me on YouTube and joined Key Learners only a week after its launch last July! I didn't even know what it was going to offer yet, but he wanted more training than just my videos had to say... I think it's safe to say he got that plus a lot more!

Most recently, Raquel whose enthusiasm about this group speaks for itself.

A few things are clear from their stories:

- My free content is only an appetizer compared to what the club offers.

- You don't need to have a lot of time in the group to see a huge difference in your playing

- The learning ceiling is almost limitless (especially since I add more to the group constantly)

- Your practice habits, technical skill, artistry, and motivation will all improve from becoming an active member.

But I am sure you are still wondering what you will actually

be getting that makes all this possible!

Your Membership Includes:

  • "Efficient Piano Practice: Pro Habits and Routine" 3hr Video Course to see 4x more consistent results from each session. ($1,997 value)

  • Pro level technical instruction videos to increase your speed quickly while preventing injury! ($997 value)

  • 4 New Video Courses Added per year - every 3 months - based on member needs, at no additional cost!

($2,788 Value)

  • Weekly 1-hr group video calls to develop your artistry with the foundational skills that Mark taught me ($800 Value)

(These are recorded for permanent review)

  • Piano Skill Assessment and Goal Setting to have an actual strategy for your long term progress and short term results ($600 Value)

  • Chances for 2 FREE private lessons with me ($300 Value)

  • YouTube Long Tutorial and Instagram Short Tutorial dedicated to you / your requested music topic ($200 Value)

BONUS:

  • Topically organized catalogue of nearly 200 videos with key terms and search-ability (Your Convenience)

  • Regular support from like-minded musicians for motivation (PRICELESS)

A $7,682 value!

These values reflect two things:

-What I have sold these individual items for in the past

-What I personally paid to receive these things from others,

through private lessons or high-level courses

DON'T WORRY!
I won't charge you even close to that! ;)

But consider that the nearly 8k value of this group doesn't even account for my experience of...

  • 15 years playing and teaching

  • 8 private teachers I learned from (4 of whom were internationally recognized concert pianists)

  • 3 music camps (2 of them, amongst the greatest in the country)

  • 4 music pre-colleges

  • A Bachelor's degree in Piano Performance

  • Countless books / videos about piano learning that I have invested time and money in

  • 30 Masterclasses I performed in with top professionals

  • And 25 piano competitions I competed in. (11 of which I earned a top prize)

...to learn all I know!

For most of that, it's impossible to put a price tag on it.

But I do know that my family, friends, and I have all personally contributed over $100,000 toward my music education over my whole career!

And that's not including the 70k per year College degree I got from the University of Miami that would cost a serious piano learner $288,000 of student loan debt, to earn.

It's also ignoring the
potential threat of not solving your technical gaps which can lead to wrist or arm injuries - costing you hundreds or thousands of dollars of medical bills in surgery or physical therapy.

Fortunately, that has never happened to me, (as I had very good technical training). And will teach YOU the same.

However, it has happened to countless friends of mine and it's crippling to watch them take 6 months off (or even a few weeks off) piano playing due to injury. I would hate for that to happen to you, which is why I spend the most time in the group talking about proper technique.

Now we are looking at the upper 200k to
lower 300k price range with over a decade of study to learn piano at a high level!

NO WONDER so many prodigies opt out from going pro and so many adults just quit entirely after a couple years! (If they even make it that far).

So if all this group did was save you time

by giving you the short cuts to:

- Progress Quickly

- Polish your Technique

- and Fulfill you Artistically...

And you knew that 15 years of learning + $300k could be reduced to just 3 or 4 years of study and a one time payment of $7,682...

Would it be worth it to pay that for a Lifetime Membership

🤔

If you said "yes" in your head, I DO have that offer on the table.

But it gets a whole lot better than that!

👉 As of right now, you can get club membership today for JUST $97/Month!

Don't miss your chance to continue in the legendary legacy that was passed on to me - As there are only a few people who have been handed the tradition at this level and practiced it enough to recreate it themselves, through teaching.

Even less, who make this training available at this price.

⏳ Only 18 spots left before the price increase! ⏳

🚨 Upcoming Rate: $127/mo. 🚨

This group will accomplish all I have said above, plus more.

I love to under promise and over deliver. So there are many bonuses to being a member that I haven't even told you about yet. (Only insiders find out what those are.)

I can promise, I will take care of your complete piano training!

And even though I have paid several people double or triple that, for just 1 hour of their time in a single private lesson, I understand buying something from someone online can be risky - even scary!

Maybe you are wondering if perhaps you are the ONE person who won't benefit from this opportunity and you are hesitant this is really for you.

I get it!

I want you feeling confident from the very beginning. So if after 1 month in the club, you feel that you haven't grown as a pianist in the ways I have promised, I will refund you the $97 and cancel your monthly subscription.

On top of that, I will PAY YOU an additional $97 out of my own pocket just as a thank you for the time you invested!

This is because I don't want you to invest in me any more than I am willing to invest in you. Since starting the group, there has only been 1 time this happened, and it was due to a language barrier - not because of poor teaching or lack of support. (Too bad I never learned Italian)

So why not join for just one month to see for yourself?
Click the button below where you will be redirected to the Key Learner's Platform Page. And from there, the check out it button is just 1 click away.

Cancel anytime if it's not helping you.
(And blowing you away on top of that!)

You will not be locked in a recurring payment.

Should you have any questions about the group, email me at
ap@aaronpetitpiano.com

See you on the inside!
Looking forward to seeing your progress.

Aaron

PS: If you prefer to pay a lot more money (on lessons) and spend a lot more time struggling with your inconsistent learning habits, sluggish technique, and stagnate musical expression, this offer is not for you and you should click off right now.

But if you do want to take over a decade of my life, cut it down to only the best advice, and pay just $97 for what cost me over $100,000, so that you can achieve everything I told you plus more - with guaranteed results or you make money... than click the yellow button above. 👆
